Workshop Details

Stand Up Comedy, 11am-1pm

Aims - To increase confidence in public speaking and performance with a fun, active workshop to last between one and two hours.

Using a series of games and communication exercises, we'll look at ways of faking confidence when you're nervous.  We’ll also discuss the misconception that "women aren’t funny" and the reasons behind this myth.  At the end of the workshop, participants will be given a pack with details of how to find out more about performing, or just enjoying comedy and vaudeville.

In this workshop, you will have the chance to design and make banners for the procession, using a variety of techniques. There will be photographs of the original procession which you can use for inspiration, or you can create your own design.
